Chipotle Cultivate Festival
FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!! :)
Dave sent me a link the other day for the info on this festival. Chipotle hosting a food/music fest? We'll be there. :) You guys! It was soooooo great! This was not a rinky dink sort of festival. Every booth had something sweet to give away and great information on their products. Annie's, Burt's Bees (have you watched his documentary?? tragic...), North Face, Lifeway, Izze, etc. Lots of awesome companies joined in. I guess these are happening in lots of cities. Go if you get the chance! The whole point was to educate people on how to eat organic and the reality of our food today. I am an undercover granola tree-hugger, so i absolutely loved the message.
The live music was really fun when we first walked in. Someone was handing out balloons, so the boys jumped on that. Oh and it was raining, but we'll take rain over the blazing sun & humidity.
The kid's section had free t-shirts for the boys to decorate with fabric markers and stencils! They LOVED it. I am thinking about getting those markers and some stencils since I just bought the boys a few plain colored t-shirts. :)
Here's Owen's finished shirt on the left & Luke's front and back pictures. :)
There was a big 4-sided chalk wall to get creative with.
So we were handed these pamphlets with info and a map of the festival. But THEN!? They told us if we visit 4 particular booth/displays we would each earn a free meal at Chipotle PLUS a free pizza from their new pizza shop. um, yes?! I got a leeeettle bit excited. We love Chipotle, there's one just up the street, but ding dang their prices have gone way up.
Owen drinking down his strawberry Kefir from the Lifeway booth. We like our probiotics in this house. :) The boys usually drink most of the bottles we buy.
We swang swung swinged...? by Costco on the way home for a few things and ice cream to get the boys in a better mood. They did not love standing in those lines with us. But they will love the free food we earned!! Yes children, you will. Anyway, whilst eating our ice cream on the drive home we passed by Walt Disney's original studio, so i took a picture for you guys to see. I read that they want to turn this into a Disney museum if they can get the okay. That would be really fun. This is the building where they say Mickey Mouse was born (created). :)
Once home, Gideon was all about his coloring sticker book that we got. This coloring book is adorable. There's even a pocket in the back with a packet of tomato seeds and Chipotle's recipe for guacamole and salsa. :) I loveth.
Our spoils!!! Kids meals, guac & chips, more meals, and pizzas. I know where we'll be eating for the rest of the month. :) We also got lots of juice boxes, fruit snacks, crackers, chocolate milk, mango puree packets, guacamole samples, coupons, coloring book, kefir samples, reusable bags, seeds and planters and dirt (free dirt!), etc. Too fun.
