Tinsmith, Rock Wall & The Expander

I put tinfoil on our windows because that west-facing heat was cooking our goose! Gid picked up the foil and started building helmets, wands, wrist bands, money (rare coins), and grenades! Then he opened shop and made up a fun game for us. We earn money to his shop by battling him.

Owen opened a scrap yard with the hamster. You feed the hamster in order to buy something from him. It was hard work, he fell asleep on the job.

On Luke's final day of merit badge clinic, Owen brought lots of dollar bills to trade for gold dollars.

They had to survive someone drowning and trying to pull them under the water. They all passed!

We stopped at Circle K for a celebratory Froster and donuts for the little brothers. Luke was in the program with his friend Ammon. We drove him to class during the last week in our sweet new ride.

On Saturday evening the golf course in the middle of our neighborhood had a waterslide set up for the kids. Owen and Gid and their friend pretty much had it to themselves! The golf course also had free-flowing alcohol & the swears were flying so we didn't stay more than an hour. We got out of the heat, ate pizza from Venezias and watched Big Hero 6 in the AC.

Thursday night we didn't have any meetings or activities so we took the boys to the Red Mountain Rec Center for rock climbing. I'm really proud of them for trying it out and climbing as high as they could! Those long legs came in handy!

Owen started braces on Wednesday. You can't see it in this picture, but he just had an expander placed. Hopefully it will make room for his 2 front teeth to finally come down into place!

Busting up an old radio and checking out the mechanics. I spy hamster.
