How is it passed the middle of November already?!?!?!
Confession: I didn't know it was Thanksgiving this week until I tried to go shopping on Saturday afternoon. THE WHOLE TOWN WAS THERE! And the store decided it would be a good day to restock every. single. aisle. It was madness! I did buy a turkey, but I'll have to get my turkey tooshy back for stuffing and such later this week. :) GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE, HA HAA!
Owen is a tender soul. Always wanting to do what's right. Faithful and sweet! One morning I found him like this. All snuggled up at the foot of his bed looking out at the sky. :)
Christmas is not Christmas without the Toys R Us magazine! The boys have been circling their favorites and whittling down their very very most faaaaavorite toys! Same goes for Oriental Trading Co. ;)
Gidders and the boys and I have been sick for about 2 weeks now. Dave had taken the older boys to the park one afternoon and Gideon fell asleep in our bed and stayed that way until 6:45am the next morning. We've all been to the doctor and pumped full of antibiotics.
I kept all the boys home one day because of said sicknesses. We had to go to Walmart for juice and such when we found these awesome slippers! It looks like the animal is biting your foot when you put it one. I'll have to let Santa know they want these!
Owen's festive letter to Santa! Can you find 'remote control car'? I love love love seeing how the boys spell some of these funny words! I think he gets bonus points for the art, am I right?
Well, we put the tree up! Earlier than ever before. I think this was 1 week ago or so. It's not decorated, but we love having it in the corner!
We've had a few rainy/chilly days. Hoping to see some snowflakes flutter down, but nothing yet. It looks like next Monday we might get light snow and the boys are SO excited! They love the white fluffy stuff!!
Gid sure loves his preschool! I do too. It's just beyond awesome!! He's improved so much and can write G I D E O so far. :) Just need to work on that N!
Owen drew this sweet tank the other day! I showed him the picture that Aunt Kathryn painted of the Iraq scene. Like Auntie like Nephew! :) I love that my boys are all little artists in their own ways!
Decorating the tree with artwork.
Yep, we finally made it into the 30s in the morning, so hats and coats are nonnegotiable!
Luke making a Pokemon charm with rainbow loom bands (could they have chosen a more manly name??!!) It turned out to be harder than we thought, so he didn't get it finished. Gideon likes to grab out ziploc bags and fill them up with treasures to carry around. This time it was pretzels for a snack later. Owen decided to make like Tarzan and draw like an apeman. :)
My friend Heidi recently renovated a farmhouse and it's magical! This big horse is Chaco and he's a sweetie. :) Gid and Owen loved him! We missed our Luki! He went to school this day while I took Owen in for strep. I tell ya, it's been a 'sick' week.
Owen's face says it all!
Oh my little painting buddy! He has painted so many pictures and bookmarks with my scrap papers! I honestly LOVE all of his paintings. Each one has a story. :)
He calls the kraft paper, sandpaper. :)
Last year Dave and I made a list of our dream Thanksgiving feast! I'll do my best this year. We're going very relaxed, so i'm not sure about ALL of those desserts, but maybe just one special one. :)
Doesn't Luke just look SO excited to be playing the piano?? He has lots of talent in those fingers, but he's like his mama and doesn't love the practice part. :) Do you like how Dave decorated the tree with packaging paper? I don't think it's half bad!
