First day of school was a rainy one!
We had a few visitors that morning. :)
 Luke's now a 4th grader and Owen's in 1st!

 Owen caught a leaf bug!
Actually it's called a catydid, but it looks like the leaf bugs from Horton Hears a Who. :)

Gideon had an afternoon bath and he got REALLY good and raisiny!

 Another pretty bug visitor.
We woke up and I told the boys we must live in Cloud City because of all the clouds on the ground.

Meet the Teacher Night was so fun. Gideon insisted on wearing his backpack to school just like his bros. :)

Owen's classroom. He has a great teacher, Mr. Clawson.

Dave and I split up with the boys, so i don't have a picture of Luke in his new room, but he also has a super teacher named Ms. Dodd. :)

Grammy brought the boys sleeping shirts when she came to visit. :)
Owen likes to rummage through the recycle bin and make new creations.
There was a line of families waiting to walk their kids to class on the first day of school. :)

Gideon wanted to wear his ninja jacket to do some yard work. We were pulling weeds. He likes to take his scissors outside and cut grass, it's pretty cute. :)

Caught!!  The boys are not supposed to get up on this ledge that runs around our basement. He got himself up and then i heard him calling for me because he couldn't get back down!
The KC Airshow! We watched from Lewis and Clark Park. Turns out it's called that because the explorers actually had an encampment at this location along the river!  Awesome!!

This amphitheater has the names of all the exploration party on these rock slabs.
  Watching the airplanes.

The boys made this dirt pile city when we first got there and by the end all of the kids were adding to it instead of watching the airplanes with their families. :)

Gideon coloring on a box. One of his favorite things! I love how he draws lots of shapes and then colors them in. ;)
Cooling off after a hot day. :)

PIE night at school, this was Luke's get to know you page.
I wanted to make plan of salvation cupcakes so i cut out these stencils, but it didn't work out. They all just looked like blobs. So we just put sprinkles all over. :)

Back to Lewis and Clark Park. ;)

Looks like fall is in the air! Love the back to school pictures and seeing Gid with the big-ol' backpack on. So cute. The Lewis and Clark park looks really awesome too. I can't get over the leaf w/ legs - so strange. Summer is over.... yikes! Where did it go? My fav pic is seeing the boys sitting in the orange buckets. Never a dull moment at the Ellsworths. love you guys
