Grammy Comes to KC day1

First things first, Grammy had to deliver "doo-dahs" to the boys. :)

 Gid loved his excavating block. He had to chip away at the clay to find the dinosaur bone pieces inside! He chipped and hammered and brushed away the dust. It was adorable. He was so into it. :) He even skipped dinner. We had to sit there with him and put the pizza into his mouth so he would eat. 

Luke and Owen got some Lego Dragons to put together. :) 

After dinner (that homemade caprese garlic bread pizza) we took a walk down to the park. Look who was hanging out at the park too! A pair of fawns. They were so so cute. Luke walked up to them very quietly and slowly and one of the deer came a bit closer to see what he was. :)

We got to the park just as the sun was wanting to go down. 

 Gideon found his best friend. He was in heaven with Grammy playing tag and slide with him.

 After a while the older boys wanted to show Grammy the creek. 

 Gid didn't want to be left behind!

 Let the rock skipping and frog spotting begin!

 We were pretty pooped... Actually, that's a lie. I was pretty pooped. The boys were so excited to have Grammy at their house and sleeping over that they would have stayed up all night. So we tucked everyone in and went to bed. We were woken up the next morning by a HUGE CRASH OF THUNDER that shook the house. Crazy. :)
